Thrown spear encumbrance

Post by Asterix16 » Mon Feb 05, 2018 4:03 pm

Hi guys,

After throwing a spear, could the PCs decrease their encumbrance by two until remainder combat? It would make sense flavour wise. Since i cannot see any rules regarding this I'm assuming you can't. On the other hand, One could argue that there is the precedent of removing a helm to remove encumbrance during combat

Cheers

Yes, your encumbrance will decrease, but that won't have any effect on the combat, because your fatigue (which is what matters here) does not decrease until you have a prolonged rest.

Helms are a specific exception to this general rule: the book actually says this is "Unlike the rest of the equipment making up a hero’s gear of war"...
Aiya Eärendil Elenion Ancalima!
