Spending Experience and Advancement Points
Spending Experience and Advancement Points
Hello again, quick question about experience and advancement points... How much do common skills, weapon skills and wisdom and valor cost? If I understand correctly, advancement points are only used for common skills and experience is used for the rest, but I can't find the source that tells their cost anywhere.

Check out the tables on page 171 of the Adventurer's Book for the cost to raise Common Skills (using Advancement Points) and the cost to raise Weapon Skills and Wisdom and Valour (using Experience Points).

AP are for common skills.
XP are for Wisdom, Valour, and Weapons skills.
Both page 170 Adventurer's Book.
(found by index in the AB, "Experience Points."

Dreyton, welcome to the forum! I see that you have recently joined.
If you haven't done so already, I highly recommend you download the Expanded Index from the Cubicle7 main page. You can link to it here. I worked very hard on that project and made the index as thorough as I possibly could. I even keep a copy of the expanded index at my gaming table whenever we play. It has come in handy when we've needed it.
By the way, it seems that questions concerning Advancement points and Experience points has come up quite a bit. The Loremaster's screen does not include any information on these either (not even a page reference number). So, perhaps a couple of nicely formatted tables, describing how Advancement points and Experience points are earned and then a reference to the tables in the rulebooks about how they are spent, would be in order. These could be printed to have as a cheat sheet during a game. Hmmm...

Re: Spending Experience and Advancement Points
I now keep the expanded index open on my iPad during play. It is a great resource. Thank You.

oh yeah that index is the best. I've never failed to find anything I was looking for. I have it in plastic sheet protectors in my GMs binder i look at it three times per game on average. Thanks for the work on that.
