Aren't there some battle rules in the House Rules section of this forum? And there's rules for building your own force (Burh & Fyrd) there as well? Of course, official stuff would be nice too...

Speaking of wargames rules, that reminds me: If you want to tabletop game battles, there's always Battle of Five Armies which is based on Warmaster from GW. They're a great little set of rules, and work nicely for 10mm miniatures (but for other scales as well). The boxed set offers a nice start for Middle-Earth forces, but you can easily grow your armies using various historical and fantasy ranges fron Pendraken, Old Glory etc. Check out especially Copplestone's 10mm minis which go nicely with BoFA.

And I seem to recall there were army lists for other ages and folks of Middle-Earth on some forum or another, Angmar, Morgoth etc.

I've actually used a modified version of the Pendragon rules. They work really well in conjunction with TOR for epic battles.
I would be interested also.
Nothing of Worth.

Not an official resource, of course...These skirmish mechanics might fill the gap until C7 move the timeline to the Wat of the Ring. bit.ly/THotV

Aside from the battle mechanics, it also has some interesting campaign hooks in it.
