Assuming a LM would allow them to be given as Gifts. Which isn't unreasonable...otherwise how did the Fellowship get their Elvish kit?

The Fellowship of the Ring has game mechanics defying numbers of Rewards.

Frodo alone has:
Sting. King's Blade+Grievous+Keen+Fell That's 4 rewards, he can only have 1 more if he has Valor 6, right?
Mithril Shirt:Lucky Armor+3xCunning Make. That's 4 more rewards, now he has 8, effective Valor of 9.
Add on the elven cloak, now he's effective Valor 10
And don't even bring up the One Ring. Then again, that's not a Reward, it's arguably a curse to own that thing.

And Bilbo had the same stuff Frodo had, minus the cloak.

The point is, the Fellowship of the Ring is simply beyond PC level, even maxed out PC level. You cannot build Frodo by the rules, though I tried in another thread.

Yep. If you are counting Sting as the Kings Blade virtue (which I'm not sure I agree) then the Mithril Shirt and the Elven Cloak are both gifts as a Hobbit can't get those as Virtues or Rewards. Again one of the problems I have with the system is there is nothing in the RAW for found/gifted items. Half the crap the Fellowship was carting around was given to them at one point or other.
