Well, here it is, my new version of my Magic Supplement, updated for Rivendell and including all the 'rules' that I wanted to include! This provides a fully comprehensive look at Magic in Middle-earth, although unlike zedturtle's approach I was a fan of the Decipher Magic system so have based mine on that.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/656 ... on%204.pdf

have also updated my Resources Page, link from my sig.

It is still not completely finished, however, because:

1. Spent the last two weeks compiling the Index only to discover it is mostly wrong and has to be done again!! Can't face this at this stage so need some 'time off'! and felt I would rather submit it now!

2. I still don't know how to tinker with the character sheet to provide space for a Grimoire on the back of a character sheet (or a special sheet). Am open to suggestions??

Happy Reading, sorry it took so long!

Robin S.
Will work on the Index after some time off it! :D

OK, have now updated my Resources page to include (No.11) the handout I give to players unfamiliar with Middle-earth, that I mentioned in a previous thread re Making a game 'Tolkienesque':

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/656 ... 20know.xls

also available via link in my sig! :D

When I wrote this document, I basically just asked (what do players need to know or should know?)

Note: This document is a First Draft, so will happily accept comments about what should be in there, what should be taken out etc., as long as the document stays at only two pages long - as then it is basically a single handout to players (which is important!)

OK, so here is Version 5 of my Magic Rules, updated with Index now correct and front and back (thanks Zedturtle!) pages for Dwimmer-crafter Character sheet, also available in my Resources page from my sig.

Magic in Middle-earth V.5

Still to be done for Version 6 (& hopefully final!):

1. Need a better name for the Staff than Staff of the Magus.
2. Put the Dwimmer-crafter Character sheet in the Appendix
3. Put a full page Grimoire in Appendix
4. Main Tables & rules in Appendix (for easy reference)
5. Research for what a DC's book would be called
6. Provide a PC example & a LM Adversary example

Still lots to be done! :D

Hey Robin,

I'm looking at possibly running a Harad related campaignand was hoping to look at some of your resources for that, but the links don't seem to work anymore. Is there any way you could make them available again at your convenience? Thanks.

I think it's due to Dropbox removing the ability to have 'public' folders. Noticed the same thing with my own stuff today.

Robin, last week I had to spend time moving everything to Google Drive and sharing from there. No more Dropbox for me, since they changed the Public folder.
