Fellowship Phase Locations

Hi all. I may have missed it, if this is made explicit somewhere in the books, but I am unclear on exactly where characters may spend Fellowship Phases. Can they *only* spend a Fellowship Phase at their own home, or at a Sanctuary? Or can they spend a FP anywhere reasonably safe, if the time period is short enough (e.g. an adventuring phase ends with them arriving at Rivendell for the first time--can they spend a couple of weeks there as a Fellowship Phase, even if they don't choose Open Sanctuary as their Undertaking?)

I am unclear whether the Open Sanctuary Undertaking is required to allow the Fellowship to spend an FP there, or if it just gives them the Sanctuary bonuses if they do?

Personally, I might require End-of-Year FPs to be spent either at home or at a Sanctuary, but shorter FPs that take place during the year (if there is more than one adventure a year), and which would likely be shorter than EoY (a couple-few weeks, rather than an entire season), I would think could be spent anyplace safe and reasonably friendly/welcoming. But I wanted to know what the official ruling was.

Just a quick, not consulting the rules, off the top of my head, response but IIRC you can have a Fellowship Phase anywhere safe however some/many/quite a few options require you to be at a Sanctuary or at Home to take place.

You can have Fellowship Phase and start a New Sanctuary anywhere that's relevant. You can have a FP and Gain a New Patron anywhere there is a Patron that you want to add to your stable of Patrons.

End of Year FP's need you to be at your individual home for some Undertakings (usually Standing related I think).

FP's take from one to three months depending upon what the company is doing (i.e. some Undertakings need longer or are over the Winter)
