Advesary Stat Block

Post by edwardp » Sat Apr 12, 2014 2:50 am

Hi all,

Second post in two days!

Something I have noticed, however without having played the game yet, it seems it would have been a little more useful to put the weapon statistics within the Adversary Stat block, instead of a separate table.

For example, on LM 70, the Orcish Weapons are listed, separate from the Adversaries themselves. I really hate to have to constantly flip back and forth through a book.

Am I making this a bigger deal than it is? Have others found this a little awkward? Or have others found a way to work around this?

Thanks!

I copy and paste the stat blocks into a document and add the weapon stats and Special Ability details as well. That way I have one sheet with everything I need for a hazard or encounter. Makes so much more sense for me to have a page with a Orc war party and thus all the orcs and wargs info in one place with much less flipping and stress on that poor binding.

I tend to collect them together onto a sheet like the one below for simplicity. Then again, I've gone prep-light recently, with no more than two sides for the session, plus a sheet for NPCs and bad guys. Very liberating.

What format is that sheet? Do you have a template you could share? Thanks!

They're just simple MS Word documents using tables. I've uploaded the template and my adventure prep template here as you requested. Hope you find them useful.

I agree, those a fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

I assume you must have some special font installed that has the Gandalf and Eye symbols?

Thanks!

@edwardp Look for Dice Glyphs in the TOR Resource thread for a copy of the symbols on the TOR dice. They are free for personal use.

Hello
Variety is the spice of life!
Here is the stat block I made to use with Lone Wolf Development's RealmWorks. I needed all all-in-one design so this is the one I came up with.
It contains all the pertinent info in one chart.
The first page is the blank stat block, along with the Gandalf and Sauron rune font for easy copy/paste. The second page is a few filled in examples.
