Appropriate weather systems

Post by Heilemann » Thu Apr 24, 2014 2:38 am

I seem to recall that someone brought up an old MERP og RM weather system ported to (ancient) software. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good weather simulation system; if it's something that's prepared ahead of time, that would be great too. I wouldn't mind having a month-long forecast to bring to the table as the company ventures through Mirkwood the next couple of sessions.

I use Archivist Elements for that kind of thing. It's great for quick on the fly details like current weather, or placement of chairs in a tavern. It's also nice for quick NPC names or details if you' have much time before a session. The default stats it gives characters are all based around D&D, but if you're just using the basic info it translates just fine to The One Ring or any other RPG.
