No worries, I went ahead and registered. I've read through the IC and OOC threads, but haven't posted anything yet -- still thinking about character ideas...Southron Loremaster wrote:Sorry if there was a problem attempting to access our game. If anyone is interested i'm currently looking for 2 maybe 3 replacements in my pbp Darkening of Mirkwood on myth-weavers.com. The game is under Song of the North.

Hi!
I'm new to the forums - though have been lurking for a while and thought I would share my experiences of online play.
Last week I GMed 'The Marsh Bell' over Roll20 with 3 players and it worked out very well. I used a 'battleboard' on one page to track combat (tokens for the various stances etc), a players map on another page, and artwork on others to help the players, as well as handouts for monster/NPC pics.
Taking advantage of the VTT I also used sound effects and music which really helped eg: crowd noise and music for a tavern in Lake Town, a Bell tolling, crows cawing and a drip of water for the climax.
My players really enjoyed it and I thought that Roll20 handled the game very well.
I'm looking forward to using it again to run the next TOR game.![Smile :)](images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)
