Very appreciated. I liked Blood in general but felt it was a little muddled. Will mess with it.

I thought that the means to introduce the heroes to each other was good. It's ideally suited to a convention game rather than a group of friends, but makes a change from meeting at an inn. It got the Encounter mechanisms to the fore with the meeting with the trader and the boatmen as well as the other heroes. A bit of skill use on arrival at the Inn and then enough Journey mechanics to convey the concept, but not a die-rolling nightmare as was often reported on the forums in the past. The first combat is enough to give the ideas behind the TOR Melee system to the players and then the climactic fight with something that can give heroes a real fright. I threw in a couple of trolls digging a new den for the company to evade and roleplay around which added a bit but not so much as to overwhelm the new players.
So why muddled?
So why muddled?
