Materials of Middle Earth??

So I am planning on introducing my group to TOR and I had a question that I was hoping someone would be able to answer for me. I've noticed it mentioned a few times that the company only has license for specific material pertaining to Tolkien's works. I know that we currently have enough material to work with for a game that could go
on for years. But if I wanted to take the party to the Sea of Rhun or to Far-Harad are these areas "possible" game releases or would I have to take it on myself to create these areas? If there s a link that addresses this that would be great!

Currently we have the region of Rhovanion. We will get Rivendell and Eriador regions soon (hopefully) and then the game will cover Rohan. After that I'm guessing obvious next area would be Gondor.

Disclaimer IANAL
Based on previous discussion here and on forums run by other M-eE licencees, my understanding is that the licence granted by J.R.R. Tolkien to Saul Zaentz t/a M-eE covers the use of material in The Hobbit and in Lord of the Rings and does not cover anything in material published outside those two works.
So Sophisticated Games and their sub-licencee, C7, can only use material presented in those works.
Material from the Silmarillion and other works will not likely be published as part of the Sophisticated Games/C7 corpus.
You will have to generate your own material for areas outside the licence which, BTW, is not clearly defined or discussed by licencees, no doubt due to the nature of the licence.

The question wasn't whether Cubicle7 would publish material based on
The Silmarillion et al., but whether they would publish settings beyond the
Lord of the Rings map. We don't know the details of the license that Cubicle7 works under; we don't know whether they're allowed to expand into areas Tolkien didn't write about.
I would assume that no such settings will be published. Write your own stuff.

Iron Crown Enterprises published Perils on the Sea of Rhûn for MERP First Edition. Amazon lists used copies at very reasonable prices. This might be helpful in filling-in that region of Middle-earth for you. I'm sure that there is material that can be adapted for your game.
