GenCon 2014!!

Post by shipwreck » Sat May 10, 2014 1:47 am

Oh man, some TOR events were just posted on the GenCon events listing and I'm excited!

A Long Way From Home
A village of the shire has been attacked by a raiding party of Orcs, goblins, & if survivors are to be believed, they have a Cave Troll with them. Bold Adventurers are required to end the threat.
His Master's Voice
Following a brief yet grave meeting with Gandalf you are off to Laketown to prevent the emissaries of an ancient evil from meeting with a Great Fire Drake from the northern wastes.
and

A Wizard's Errand
Radagast the Brown is in need of doughty adventurers to deliver a package of vital importance across Wilderland. A wizard asks for help only when the need is great. Will you answer his call?

I'll actually be in easy driving range of GenCon this year, but I'm not sure how busy I'll be that weekend...

You have no idea how jealous I am.

They need a GenCon Italia!

But, I will be thrilled to just to play TOR. I haven't had any luck getting a local group together. Hopefully I'll get one going before GenCon.

Don't be too jealous! I'll be in a course that promises to make me more stupid than I already am.

Rats! The events sold out too quickly! Looks like we'll have to get an unofficial game going. I'll post details here as the time draws nigh, if anyone is interested.

I'd be up for some kind of unofficial event at Gen Con definitely!

we won't be at GenCon, but my wife and I do expect to attend the 2nd Annual Queen City ConQuest gaming con in Buffalo, NY in September. This year's con happens to coincide with "Talk Like a Pirate Day."

As far as I know, no TOR events are scheduled at this time. I am considering running a session or two of the Hobbit Tales card game, but I am still undecided. I will certainly sign up to play if I see that anyone else is running it! The same goes for TOR.

Based on the events I was able to register for I've got Friday afternoon or night available and Saturday late afternoon for a TOR session. Some of the chaps I'm rooming with will likely play as well.

Do either of those times [tentatively] work for you guys?
