Hi guys
I've been updating the website my chums and I use with the synopsis of each of the scenarios from the TotW campaign book. I just wanted to say that I've been gaming for 30 years now and can say that this piece of work is without a doubt the best gaming supplement I have ever run. It's balanced, exciting, well written and sets the players realistic goals offering excellent opportunities for roleplaying, combat, chases...prettty much everything players enjoy.
All of the adventures are compelling...though my favourite has to be Kinstrife and Dark Tidings. I particulalry liked the part on page 53 where the writer notes that the playtesters came up with a different spin on the story. I've never read a supplement where the writier has acknowledged the playtesters so directly and I think that speaks well of a company (Cubicle 7) that values the game and the process...not just the cash.
My only regret with this supplement is that I cannot run it for the players in my group again. So, If any posters/readers/lurkers are reading this post and wondering whether to spend £19.99 or not, do not hesitate. It's well worth the price.
Looking forward to Rivendell chaps.
James
PS - I hung onto Old Shanker from Of Leaves and Stewed Hobbit and he became a regular NPC companionof the players. He's dead now in my campaign but his legacy lives on through his estranged son.
