I have been part of a PBEM game for a little over two years. I have tried a few other TOR PBEM games also.

I ran a 10-12 session or so game about the time it first came out in PDF. (What, 3 years ago?) My sessions were around 6 hours each. 4 live, 2 skype players.

I just started a new campaign, 3 sessions in. 7players

Quite late to the party, started a campaign in March 2014, we're 5 sessions in, and we're definitely going to play the whole Tales from Wilderland.

I've been playing for about two years, somewhere between 30 and 40 sessions in total.

Started July 2013 when I got the rules for my 60th birthday from friends who wanted me to run the game for them. Recently added a fourth player to the game. Ran a 6 player FTF game last autumn for about 12 weeks at our club. Running an on-line game on Roll20 over Hangouts with five players since mid February. Will run two sessions at UK Games expo at the end of May for six players in each.

My face to face group has been playing since the initial release of the core set. So, what is that? Three years?

We've played through the Marsh Bell and Words of the Wise, some home-brewed adventures, and then all of Tales from Wilderland. I connected them all together into one story so it's been a continuous campaign building up to the show down with the Gibbet King. We lost our Dwarf in the encounter with the Dragon at the end of Tales from Wilderland. That wasn't the only character death, but that was probably the biggest since it happened in the final act of the campaign when all seemed lost.

I'm in almost exactly the same situation: I've had the game since it was released, but only managed to convince my players to make up characters and try it this spring. (It helped a lot to have more supporting material, so I'm okay with having waited.)

We started in April with "The Marsh-bell" and are partway through "Don't Leave the Path"; I plan to run the rest of Tales from Wilderland interspersed with the early scenarios from The Darkening of Mirkwood. The players are liking the game enough to want to buy it; I've suggested holding off until the revised edition is available.
