I don't know the slightest thing about programming, and I'm pretty sure the answer will be "no", but...
Is there a remote chance thas this will go into an App for tablets and such?
I've been testing it on my home computer and it is amazing.
(Don't worry, Elf, I've been running the tests with safety glasses on and the presence of my parents. No pack animals where harmed during the travel tests.
)
The problem is I play in a store where I can bring my laptop, but I can't use their internet.
Maybe not Android and such, but would there be a way to make it work off-line?

Alas, Android/iOS are not really on the table for this. The only pieces that could be recycled would be the database of regions and locations, and the logic that figures out the journeys once you start clicking on cells (it would still have to be rewritten in a slightly different language, but at least I wouldn't have to go through the pain of debugging the algorithms again.) I haven't written Java code in 15 years so that would be a learning curve, and my iOS is pretty rusty, too. (Although I'm looking for an excuse to try Swift...)
Have you tried using it offline? The image library won't work, but as long as you don't switch between map regions it should still function. If you need both maps just open the app in two different browser windows or tabs before you leave home and load Wilderland in one and Eastern Eriador in the other.

I haven't tried. I didn't even think that it could work off-line.
I'll try it, it would be awesome for the games.

Today I had my first session for the upcoming campaign and we tried the Journeyometer off-line.
It worked awesome and was a tremendous help. Thanks a lot for this work, Elfcrusher.
I just have one problem: I can't click-and-drag to select a route. I have to click every hexagon, which for long journeys might be tiresome (but less than calculating everything). Is the click-and-drag option implemented?

I disabled it because it was acting quirky and I had other more important bugs. I'll put it back on the list.
Glad it was helpful. Keep providing feedback and I'll improve it as I have time.

Seems a bit awkward to me...
Seriously, this is a great tool... It allows me to give my players premade route options, which I could never do by hand.

I need some artwork/photoshop help for the Journeyometer. I want to add map annotations for all the locations in Heart of the Wild that are not already marked on the map, sort of like the in the map toward the end of HotW. To do that I'd like to add a symbol sort of like the one that is used to mark locations on the original map.
I tried to edit this image, changing the color and transparency, using a paint program:
but the results were less than impressive.
Does anybody with photoshop skills want to take a crack at creating a little transparent-background .png that would look good as the map marker?
