Does the AL of a creature with this ability get doubled for the purpose of calculating damage?

I don't believe so. Here is the text from the LB
While the creature is in the dark (at night, underground,
or in a dense forest) its Attribute level is doubled as far
as all rolls are concerned (attack and Protection tests
included).

Yeah, saw that just before I posted. I just wanted to make sure I had read it correctly. Thanks.

Thanks for bringing this up. In following this thread I realize I have been playing this wrong.

From Preview 8 "Finally, we’ve brought the rules for how an adversary applies damage in line with heroes, so they now apply an attribute as a damage bonus on a great success, or twice on an extraordinary success."
So it seems that currently you don't apply the attribute bonus once per extra level of success (although I don't read the current rules that way). However that still leaves the matter of doubled AL and applying that to the damage. Hopefully the new/revised rules will clear that up.

I wonder if they lowered the attributes, or if all enemies suddenly became a lot deadlier.
