Troll errata

I recall there being a discussion on the old boards about Trolls being too hard to kill and IIRC there was an official response to it. Does anyone know what the response was?

Thanks

SL.

I don't recall that, sorry. My group didn't find the troll hard to defeat although I know others did - don't remember any errata though so would be interested in seeing it.

I'll try and search the old treads when I get a chance and post it here if I find it.

When a creature with Great size is reduced to zero Endurance or wounded once it becomes weary. Then, the rest is as usual. Source

... I knew about that but didn't realise it specifically cam about due to the troll encounter.

refresh on Trolls (I think these explain why trolls are so hard to kill, especially for a Fellowship not working as a team)

Great Size
The creature is so resilient and tough that it is not
knocked out or killed when reduced to zero Endurance
or if wounded once (errata: troll is considered weary). The creature keeps fighting at zero
Endurance or when wounded once, until wounded twice,
or reduced to zero Endurance AND wounded.

Hideous Toughness
Reduce the creature’s Hate point score by one to reduce
the Endurance loss caused by an enemy’s attack by a
number of points equal to the creature’s Attribute Level

Trolls also have either Thick Hide (successful Protection Test forces weapon drop) or Horrible Strength (increase Endurance loss of a target following a successful attack), making them very tough creatures in combat.

I tend to ask those groups who had trouble with a troll: did you work together as a team? Did you have each PC doing what was best for them and the Fellowship as a whole? etc.
