Man I would love to play but I'm perilously close to getting a (gasp) live game started. If that fails, I'm in.

Probably not. It depends on if I get a summer job or not over the next few weeks. So count me as a no but if I find out in the next week that I didn't get it then I'll pm you. I would really like to play if I can. If it doesn't pan out I might try starting another game as well.

Cool. Hope you get the job. If not soak your worries away in my game.

Are you still looking for players? I've never played, and I don't have a rulebook, but I love Tolkien and am really interested in trying this game out (I'm hoping to buy a copy soon). I've never played a role-playing game before, but I'm very experienced with board games and card games. I'm hesitant to compare myself to the general population, but I'm pretty sure that I'm a quick learner. Let me know if there's still room and you're willing to take me on!

Edit* I've realized that I wouldn't be a good fit for this game. I'm looking more for a one-shot demo type game where I can experience some of the play and help me decide whether or not to buy the game. If anyone knows of any games like this (or is willing to host one), let me know! I'm in Germantown, MD for face-to-face, or I could do roll20 or some other online virtual tabletop.

Edit 2nd Take: So I've since just went ahead and bought the game (revised core rules). As such, I'm a new player (both to RPGs in general and TOR in particular), but I do have the rules, and as such, I'm looking for a game. If there are any openings, and you're willing to take a noob, let me know!
