Error in Update Document? (Addressed - PDF updated)

Post by doctheweasel » Tue Jun 24, 2014 4:07 pm

In the Clarifications and Amendments doc, on page 5 the topic:

Adventurer’s Book, p154, Travelling Companions
The duty chosen for a character comes into play when a failed Fatigue test triggers a Hazard sequence.

Everywhere else — in the next entry for example — it states Hazards are triggered by Eye rolls regardless of success or failure.

Yes, it looks that way. We'll get that updated in due course. I'm fairly sure the actual text in the new edition is correct, however.

Hullo! One other question, not necessarily an error: are the 'revised Journey rules' (3.0 as found on the forums) the current rules as of the revised release? I ask because, while there is the adjustment to Hazard resolution and a few other tweaks, the revisions about marching order and calculations are not mentioned in the PDF outlining the changes to the original rules. I suppose they may be in the full PDF/print version.

In short, are the revised journey rules here on the forum current? Thanks!

We decided not to incorporate the "revised journey rules" found on this forum into the new edition, so they're not current, no. You can still use them if you like, of course! Instead, Francesco decided to tweak the existing rules as printed in the previous edition.

I seem to remember that after posting the Revised journey rules Francesco went back to using the original rules. I suspect that the official revisions do not include those optional rules outlined in the 3.0 document.

Another question about the document:

page 3, Tough in the Fibre
The end part: "When you are traveling, you recover normally (the reduced recovery rates found on page xx do no apply to you)"

What "reduced recovery rates"? Which page of what book/document?

Hmm, it means those listed on p11 of the document - xx was a placeholder till it was laid out that we missed. Again, that's not a mistake carried into the revised edition.
