Actually, one request: can you add something to either underline or check favoured skills?

The ability to use an asterisk to mark favoured skills would indeed be very useful.

Seems like a good thread to ask this question: is it correct to assume that AP discounts for favoured skills do not apply to the initial character creation process? It is not mentioned in the relevant part of the character creation section, and later on the table showing the discounts explicitly labels them as "Advancement Points", whereas the initial points are considered "Previous Experience" rather than AP. Seems clear cut, but thought I'd ask.

Related question: do similar discounts due to King's Men virtue apply to initial expenditure during character creation? That one is, I think, less clear.

I'd assume not, since the starting costs don't mention any favoured-skill discount, and since the Previous Experience costs are not the same as the Advancement Point costs used during Fellowship Phases in play.

Actually, I think this one is clearer: when creating a character, you purchase skill ranks using Previous Experience (p. 76) before you choose your starting Valour and Wisdom scores (p. 79), and thus before you have access to any Virtues or Rewards. So I would feel pretty comfortable stating that you can't get a discount during creation.

Interested to hear what others think, though.

I agree with trystero. I believe the table found on p. 195 of the rulebook, called Advancement Points Costs, is meant to take effect from the time of the first Fellowship phase onward, not during character creation. That is likely why it appears in Chapter 5: The Fellowship Phase.

A hearty thank you to everyone who contributed to these updates. This is a massive amount of work, but I for one am grateful that you've done this for us.

Home from work and added the favored options. Just click to the left of each skill.

Is the font size of the editable fields something that I can alter, or is that fixed? Those weapon skill fields are so narrow that any multi-word weapon name gets line breaks.

It's fixed within the document, but I can shrink it. I'll take a look and upload a new one as soon as I finish this coffee!

Awesome, thanks. Sorry for so many requests. (I looked into getting Acrobat Pro and it's north of $100...)
