I can't wait to see what you come up with! Thanks so much for all your initial hard work and now for perfecting it for the picky types, like mearthyn wrote:I'll see what I can do.
I'll get changes up in a bit and post a new link when they're ready!

Okay, so I've changed a few things from your list. Here's the new link:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3D-fX ... sp=sharing
Specifically, I've standardized all the fonts to 8pt (same as the gear section) except the weapon skills. I only kicked that up a little per Elfcrusher- still need to be able to fit the longer names in there.
I recentered a few of the numbers, but most of them are displaying on center, or as close as I can make them on my end. If there's a specific one/ones that are off center to your eye give me specifics and I'll move them about.
I centered up the numbers on the gear sections.
I lowered most of the text fields slightly closer to the line on the original sheet.
I split the background into separate text fields to allow them to remain closer to the underlying lines. You'll just have to split the information up manually.
Still haven't found a good way to underline an area, but I'll keep cracking at it.
Also, it occurs to me that I can have the form automatically calculate certain fields. For instance, I could have it tally up the encumbrance rating. Is that something that would be useful, and if so what fields, and to where?

Re: The One Ring Clarifications, Index and Character Sheet P
Everything is almost perfect! There are just a couple of things left:
1. All the numbers in the larger main circles end up a little low near the bottom of the circle (Body, Heart, Wits, Experience points, Wisdom, Valour, Fellowship points, Advancement points, Treasure, etc.). They could be raised higher to be more centered. This is not a big deal, but when the numbers hit double digits, they would fit better and look nicer in the center of the circle where there is more room.
2. The numbers in the Tale of Years are still the larger font and do not fit completely in the field.
Other than that, I think you've done a superb job tweaking your original (at least to more of my taste, thank you!). Now, if you could only figure out how to make an underline appear when you click a favoured skill.

I don't know if it can help, but we had the former editable sheet in spanish with underlines for favourite skills.
Here's the link to it, in case you may copy the function or something like that:

Personally I prefer to have the stars next to skil, instead of the underline. Maybe it's just habit, but I found it much easier to read.

Funny...on my computer (Mac, using Preview) the numbers are a little higher than center.jamesrbrown wrote:

Ok. I also use a mac. So, I filled in some of the character sheet and took some screen shots so that you can see what I see. Here is a pic of the Fellowship, Advancement Points, Treasure, and Standing portion:

Notice how the numbers are centered horizontally, but not vertically in the circles. They could be a little higher.
Here's a pic of where the year gets recorded in the Tale of Years:

Notice the numbers are too large and get cut off on the right.

The current Endurance score could be raised slightly to be centered in the circle. The same is true for the main Body, Heart, and Wits scores:

Is there a way to save individual copies of the form already filled out for each character? Do you have to unlock that in Acrobat or something?

Either save the filled out file with the character name as the file name and then fill it out for a new character and save that in the same way or you can copy the empty file to a new name and use that for each new character.

Re: The One Ring Clarifications, Index and Character Sheet P
I usually duplicate the blank version from the file directory and rename it to the character (or a placeholder if I'm still working on the name) before opening it. I've done it the other way and accidentally overwritten the master by forgetting to use "Save As..."Hermes Serpent wrote:Either save the filled out file with the character name as the file name and then fill it out for a new character and save that in the same way or you can copy the empty file to a new name and use that for each new character.
