Okay, I broke down and pre-ordered the new book. (I kinda knew I would cave in.) There are more clarifications than appear in the Clarifications and Amendments document. I shall list them as I find them. I'm not reading the book in any particular order.

Making Fatigue Tests (p. 159)

It is now explained that multiple Fatigue tests during a journey should be spread over the length of the journey.

Recovering from Fatigue

We're told you can't recover from fatigue during a journey. We're also told that a journey is considered to be ended if (a) the destination is reached, (b) a full-fledged scene begins, or (c) when something significant (suggested as being narratively important or lasting at least three days) distracts the company's attention.

Destination (p. 192)

The purpose of sanctuaries is now made more clear. You can't spend your Fellowship Phase just anywhere. You have three choices: (1) disband temporarily and go home (usually) or someplace else (rarely); (2) spend the phase together in an established sanctuary; or (3) perform the Open New Sanctuary undertaking together in a new place.

Is this different? It looks to me very much like the same text as in the original edition, Adventurer's Guide pp. 168-9.

Hm. Somehow I thought there was a textual change from "place" to "sanctuary," but now I can't find it. Never mind about that one.

I think it is the addition of the Fellowship Phase Structure table on p. 193 that adds more clarity to the text. The clarifications document does not include every new table that was incorporated into the hardback when no rules have been changed. However, the addition of these tables has certainly brought further clarification to the rules in the same way written examples might have.
