Darkening of Mirkwood - Print version arrived!

Post by beckett » Sat Jul 12, 2014 2:55 pm

I just got my grubby hands on the hardcover and it is a beauty! Thanks to Gareth and Francesco and Jon and Andrew and Dom and everyone at Cubicle 7.

My copy arrived in today's mail. My wife literally just brought the box into the house minutes ago!

I'm guessing that the general (US) release date will be the week after next, Tuesday, July 22--or July 29 on the following week.

Yep, got mine today too. The PDF is awesome, and I was glad to have been able to read it already and use it in the game. But having the final product in living color is just so much better. Very nice job guys!

Mined arrived today in Arizona! Beautiful book. The Heart of the Wild cover is shiny, while this one is flat. I like it better.

I noticed that, too. And I agree. Did they use a different printer this time?

I think they upped the book quality as a whole with this edition. The matte finish for the cover and the woven edging along the binding in the spine are a nice touch. Also looks like the pages are bound instead of glued which makes for a long lived book.
