Wound Recovery

Hello
I searched the forum but haven't found anything on this (yet) so forgive if this is covered in another topic, please link me to it if so...
Our house rules allow the use of certain herbs to recover Endurance, but I have avoided implementing anything to heal a Wound outright.
As I understand the RAW it basically says that After the hero has regained full Endurance AND after a prolonged rest, the Wound is healed.
Prolonged Rest... not much more is said about that. There is something that hints at a possibility in Recovering from Fatigue though;
"Recovering from Fatigue" on P 159 in the new book
Basically is says prolonged rest can only be had in a Sanctuary situation, not in the field.
So, would you say this is a good interpretation of the raw?
A Wound can be healed only after prolonged rest in Sanctuary (regardless of regaining full Endurance while deployed afield)
Possible House Rule:
I have been thinking about a house rule for us to use and would like your feedback.
In our current campaign I provided a sanctuary in proximity of their adventuring area so they can heal, rest etc and then sally forth again in fairly short time.
This is to address the question of how long "prolonged rest" should be before sallying forth.
I was thinking of a house rule that would help determine the time it would take to recover a Wound based on it's severity.
House Rule Idea #1: Tie the number of days rested to the amount of Endurance that was suffered with the Wounding strike. The higher the Endurance loss the longer it takes to recover.
But, lets say the Wound was delivered with a Dagger for only 3 points. It seems excessive to trek ALLLL the way back to sanctuary for prolonged rest of 3 days so I was also toying with the Idea of a Wound as if it was "Merely a Flesh Wound"
House Rule #2: FLESHWOUND- If the Endurance is equal or less than BODY, then the Wound heals naturally while afield after the number of days equal to the Endurance suffered when the Wound was delivered.
Additionally, each combat the Hero partakes in after Wounding, it takes an additional day for the Wound to heal properly due to combat stresses. If another Wound is taken at any time during this healing process, the Hero is down as per the raw.
If the BODY attribute is exceeded, the Hero has suffered a Deep Wound and can only be recovered after prolonged rest in Sanctuary as per the raw.
Is there anything in this that seems out of sorts?
