Bree-Land is way out on the Western edge of the map of Eastern Eriador in "Rivendell" but it seems a logical homeland for Manish adventurers. I would like to see it get more detail in Ruins of the North, but I expect that Bree, the Shire, and the Grey Havens will appear together in a future product.

The cultures appearing in Adventurers Companion seem to be the ones that we have been clamoring for the loudest. We don't even have a hint of when we might see Gondor.

I think thematically, Bree is more in keeping with the lone lands of Eriador than the havens of the Shire and the Grey Havens. For me Bree and Rivendell both bound these lands of adventure from the West and East sides respectively. I was really surprised when it wasn't included in the Rivendell supplement, once it was detailed just what lands were being included in the book.

Yeah, I can totally understand the logic, I just have a preference for the lands and cultures relating to those lands being in the same books. Just personal taste though.

It's possible that it could be found in Ruins of the North. There were certain locations in Heart of the Wild that said "check out the writeup in Tales from Wilderland," like the Mountain Hall, so we could see that again.

It's a pretty pivotal location to put in an adventure rather than the location supplement, though.

IIRC Breelanders will be in the Companion.

Bree was never planned to go in Rivendell, so it hasn't been pulled for space constraints or other reasons. What went into Rivendell that wasn't originally planned to were the Barrow-downs, Fornost and regions around Bree - we felt that, being ruined and filled with undead and all, they were more thematically appropriate to include in this supplement.

Bree will be covered in the near future; Bree-folk in the even nearer future.

When I kicked off this thread I had somehow missed that Bree-Lander culture was slated for the AC.

And really, it's not like we don't have plenty to keep us busy with even without details of Bree etc.

I should think homebrew Bree-landers would be super easy, too. Almost like a less martial Woodman, because they're simple Men interested in farming and swapping stories at the Pony. Might even include a Bree-land hobbit variant as well.

It's always a challenge to decide where the 'cut-off' should occur on things and what to include, or not to include. There's never a solution that is *correct* as it's not an exact science.

Will be interesting to see what you do... and when! ;)

So Ruins of the North it is. ;)
