I got my copy through audible.com (Fellowship of the Ring at http://www.audible.com/pd/Sci-Fi-Fantas ... 002V1A2B8/) (I was delighted that it was indeed available for South Africa. Quite a number of books are not)
I'm currently listening to the BBC dramatised version of "The Hobbit" while trying to work out an introductory TOR adventure that the kids can play along with my husband and I.

I love this. The only thing better is the audiobook read by Rob Inglis.

If you enjoy radio shows as much as I do, let me suggest the late Brian Dailey's Star Wars radio show, which is out on CD and maybe iTunes, too. The opening and closing narration is not to be skipped. In some cases you'll hear the original cast, or better. To me, Perry King is Han Solo, and John Lithgow is Yoda. Each episode is usually focused on one group of characters, and doesn't impose the short attention span theater style of George Lucas. Brian Dailey sadly died too soon, and before Return of the Jedi could be done, but it finally was done, though it was only six episodes compared to thirteen for New Hope and ten for Empire. I have some great memories of listening to each broadcast on the way to Nashville Youth Symphony rehearsals with one brother, recording the rebroadcasts, the listening to the CDs while taking my youngest brother to school across the country and filling the truck with pipe smoke. Too bad we didn't have The Lord of the Rings BBC radio show!
