Thranduil welcomed Curulon to his halls, and offered him food and shelter. It was here that he met and befriended Nidhiel, a skilled Elven archer and hunter. Nidhiel informed him of the true purpose behind the Company of Thorin Oakenshield, though he had already begun to piece it together.
Nidhiel must have had a bit of foresight, for even the Elvenking could not be certain of the intentions of the party of captured Dwarves. He wasn't even sure of their identities until Thorin Oakenshield proclaimed himself after they escaped and reached Lake-town. Or is your Loremaster borrowing elements from the Peter Jackson films.

Cultural Reward (High Elves): Kick-ass Headband (cap of iron and leather or helm)

"You own a kickass headband."

(what, did you think there was more to this reward?)
That was hilarious!

Whenever you roll the Feat die, don't bother you succeed. You may flash a heavy metal gesture to restore 2 Hope to each party member who signs back to you. The bearer of the headband also automatically succeeds on all protection tests if he bears an elven mullet.

Everyone wanted Elrond in their party.

… no, wait, the other thing. No one wanted him in their party.
And his is why we need a "like," "plus one," or "heavy metal gesture" button on this forum.

Preferably the latter.
