Re: The One Ring Hardcover Update
Reading the PDF I found two things among the adversaries that catched my eye:
1) The Attercop, with an Attribute level of 3, has an Endurance of 12.
The Great Spider, with an Attribute level of 4, has an Endurance of 36.
I don't know if there's any mechanic for it, but shouldn't the Great Spider have more like 24 Endurance (2xAttercop) instead o 3 times that of an Attercop?
Other Adversaries with an Attribute level of 4 have an Endurance of 16 (Orc Guard) or 18 (Messenger of Lugbúrz).
2) The weapon Heavy hammer of the Trolls has an Injury rating of 14. Isn't it too low for a massive Troll weapon? An orc's Orc Axe has an Injury rating of 16, for example.

Are there any erratas in the English version?
We're having some problems at the forums with the spanish translation and can't decide if they're erratas from the english one that have been fixed, or erratas from the spanish version.

Hi Falenthal, there is currently no known significant errata for the Revised Edition. There are a couple of tiny things, but nothing yet worth writing up in an errata doc.Falenthal wrote:Are there any erratas in the English version?

Re: The One Ring Hardcover Update
Thanks a lot, Jon. We found differences in some stats for adversaries and other that are significant.
Therefore, we can conclude that they're mistakes in the process of translation.
Thanks a lot again.

Re: The One Ring Hardcover Update
I've been revising the spanish edition for erratas and found some puzzlings things that *I think* are incorrect in the english original. Could someone confirm this or take me out of my misery?
1) p.129 Shouldn't the title "Miserable" have the same font and colour as "Wounded" or "Unconscious"? It is a State of Healt in its own right, as shown in the table in p. 130
2) p.253 In "Assembling a Company"
3) p.257 In the entry for the year 2941:
p.286 The "Who" part:
4) p.288 Glóin tells the heroes, during the Interaction:
6) And the last one that I've found is in the Extended Example of Combat. On page 182, the Opening Volleys are fired before Combat Advantatges. The rules and the table on page 167 explain that Combat Advantatges are rolled before Opening Volleys. Seems like a leftover (is this word right?) in the example from the original rules of the slipcase edition.

2) p.253 In "Assembling a Company"
Shouldn't the adventurers be "attracted to Dale", not Lake-town?The default campaign starts in 2946, on the occasion of
the first Gathering of Five Armies, a celebration held in
Dale for the first time, five years after the eponymous
battle.
Newly created heroes may be adventurers that have been
attracted to Lake-town by the clamour surrounding the
event.
3) p.257 In the entry for the year 2941:
ANDThe Wizard Gandalf, Thorin Oakenshield and thirteen
Dwarven companions visit Bilbo
p.286 The "Who" part:
There were 13 dwarves in the Quest of Erebor, including Thorin. So, page 257 should say "Thorin Oakenshield and twelve Dwarven companions", and page 286 should say "one of the thirteen Dwarves".Balin, one of the
twelve Dwarves that undertook the Quest for Erebor
4) p.288 Glóin tells the heroes, during the Interaction:
but it is also said in page 259 that:for the coming Gathering of Five
Armies, an important meeting to be held at the beginning
of summer
So, Glóin should say:Year 2946
The Gathering of Five Armies
In the last days of November, on the fifth anniversary of
the eponymous battle, a great feast celebrating the victory
at the Battle of Five Armies is held in Dale for the first
time. People from all neighbouring lands are expected to
participate in the revels, as the feast has been arranged
to coincide with local celebrations held for the end of the
harvest season and the beginning of the colder months of
the year.
5) I'll quote here also a potential errata detected by JamesRBrown, concerning Spiders and their Ensnare attack:for the coming Gathering of Five
Armies, an important meeting to be held in the last days of November
Personally, I'd say that as the Ensnare attack refers to the Seize Victim special ability, the inmediate attack with the sting is intentionally left out. This way, all creatures with Seize Victim (see Wolves, for example) work in the same way. But if that's correct, then the Example of Combat should be modified accordingly. The only question about errata concerning the revised hardback edition that I've heard and still haven't heard an official answer to is the question about Spider Weapons.
The original Loremaster's Guide in the slipcase edition includes a line under the Spider Weapons Table on p. 75 that states:
*If the Ensnare roll is successful and produces a great or extraordinary success, the spider immediately attacks its victim using its sting.
The revised hardback edition (p. 241) leaves this line out, therefore causing a question about whether or not this was a design change to reduce the power of Ensnare, or if the line was accidentally omitted. I am very sure it was the latter (based on the example of combat given on p. 183 that mentions an Extraordinary success by an Attercop using Ensnare).
