Eye of Mordor (Rivendell)

I'm wondering if "Radagast's Boons" in Tales from Wilderland count towards increasing the Eye Awareness. I'm thinking a spell like Travel Blessing would, but giving the company Mirkwood Cordial to drink would not. Does that seem about correct to anyone?

i don't think I'd have the Awareness Score increase with use of Mirkwood cordial. It doesn't strike me as being particularly magical in nature more a combination of the rights herbs in proportion according to the phrasing in the book.

That is how I see it as well, Hermes. Thank you.

In general I think that sounds right, but a Travel Blessing, especially from Radagast, strikes me as something that would actually reduce Eye rating.

... If the Eye of Mordor rules were already in use when TfW was written then I wonder if that's the way the Travel Blessing would have been written.

The Travel Blessing from Tales gives a free bonus die to the player's travel rolls. I can see this spell not increasing the Eye Awareness (Rivendell does say that not all spells do) but I don't know that this spell would reduce the awareness. Although, I think I can see where you are coming from. You have given me something to chew on. Thanks, Elfcrusher!

Radagast's Travel Blessing, I believe, would raise the Eye Rating.

This is based on Radagast's own statement in the TfW book: “There are any number of things I might work on
you, but I’m not sure if they would help you or hinder you. Say I put a spell of concealment upon you – that will help you hide from Orcs and men and beasts, but it would make it easier for... other things to sense you."

I see it as virtually any spells placed on the party might make it easier against mortal foes or natural things, but they would stand out to those who can sense power.
