Should I Buy the LM Screen?

Post by Seosaidh » Thu Aug 14, 2014 12:33 am

So I've just begun my journey into The One Ring with a purchase of the Revised Core Rules. I probably will end up being a LM at some point (even soon), and additionally, the Laketown supplement seems interesting apart from the LM Screen. As per this thread: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1948&p=16924&hilit=lm+screen#p16924, I understand the the charts and information on the back of the LM screen is out of date. From my reading of the forum, it appears to be mainly that the page numbers match to the old books, but not the new. However, it also appears that at least one of the rules is incorrect.

My questions are:
1)How incorrect is the LM Screen?

2) Would I be better off buying The Heart of the Wild and waiting if/when a revised LM screen is released or just buying the Laketown supplement and LM screen now?

I'll also reiterate the question in the linked forum. If I did buy the LM screen now, would I be able to gain access to a revised pdf or some such (assuming one comes out) for free to paste onto the back of the screen? Would a revised LM screen be in the works? I know this is a lot of questions, so thank you for taking the time to read them!

Most of the stuff on it hasn't changed. The Travel enounters have, but that's not really all that much.

The Laketown sourcebook is worth it. (mind you, I buy in PDF, so my threshold's a little different. And my homebrewed GM aid has hit 12 pp... but it's also detailed enough to run from.)
