I don't require players to deliver a Wound/coup de grâce to kill Orcs or similar adversaries that have been reduced to zero Endurance. We just assume that they are defeated/die and move on. I've never had a player-hero try to capture one or question one after it fell unconscious, but if they did, I would rule it was still alive until it took a Wound.

Thank you all for your insights.

So I've adopted largely the same approach. Unless it affects the story, the adversaries are deemed essentially dead after the battle.

I assume characters will kill orcs and other evil creatures, unless they have a very good reason not to do so.
