Scenario list

Post by Arkat » Tue Aug 19, 2014 7:14 am

Hi

I'm relatively new to this game and this community, and from time to time I stumble upon hints about fan created scenarios (like Blood in the Water in a recent thread) and a quick search often turns it up. But this also makes me wonder what else might be out there.

Since it is a bit harder to randomly search for scenarios, my question is: has anyone compiled a list of fan-made scenarios? For a fresh Loremaster like myself, something like this would be a very valuable resource.

James has some stuff, as does Rich H.

There's really only a few out there, surprising for a game that has been out for what 3 years?
I've used Blood several times as a starter scenario to avoid using the one in the LM books (Marsh Bell).
There's one about Ghosts and Goblins but the subject matter didn't interest me.
There's the Eagle's Eyrie one which uses parts of several of the published scenarios in Tales.
Most people seem to be happy using the published scenarios in Tales and now Darkening.
There are some written by C7 for use as convention scenarios that are not being published as PDF's due to licensing restrictions (no PDF only material as ruled by M-e E). I reckon there are three, maybe four, in this position. You are very unlikely to get your hands on them so I wouldn't worry about them.

Some LM's have written material for games running in other areas of ME outside Rhovanion and those will only be of interest if you intend to play outside Rhovanion.

The next or next but one book coming out is Ruins of the North which is adventures in Eriador and makes use of the Rivendell book.
The other book scheduled for 'soon' is the Adventurers book covering some new cultures (Men of Bree) and probably adventures around there. I'm hoping that it deals with Bree like the Lake-town book dealt with Esgaroth, a map of the town and nearby villages (Staddle, Combe and Archet), some shops and NPC's with plenty of plot hooks plus an adventure, the new cultures and maybe some new creatures/Adversaries.
Coming for Winter 2014, which could be in publishing terms any time up to Easter 2015, another new book covers Rohan and the Rohirrim.
Some TOR Information on my G+ Drive.
