Hello everyone. I am a spanish player, in our country we are still pending publication of supplements Darkening of Mirkwood and Rivendell.

I have a question, because soon I will run my first campaign: Is it possible for players to create their own settlement?

I mean, at the Fellowship phase, players can create, in any location on the map, their own village or town.

The creation of settlements is not covered in the English language version of those supplements. Darkening has rules for characters receiving, starting or finding an individual holding (farm, inn etc) so I suppose if several characters choose to do that then they can make a settlement.

There are no rules for creating villages or town but Darkening of Mirkwood has a couple of pages for character that want to create a Holding for their character. A holding is something along the lines of a home, farm, hunting lodge, etc for the character, his family, and kin.

Thanks for the clarifications, see if we're lucky and soon Darkening is published; to use it if I get that situation.
