Wild Wolf Attacks
Re: Wild Wolf Attacks
Ferretz, I like the idea of using Savage Assault to simulate to problem of facing rider and wolf together: the wolf is encumbered, so they got the "double attack" just in some circumstances. Nice.
Re: Wild Wolf Attacks
Also, it should be stated that the Seize Victim ability only counts for the Bite 2 attack, and that the rider can use his primary attack on the victim.
So, let's say a character is attacked by a wolf rider. The rider charges a companion and attacks, getting a great success. The rider now spends one point of Hate, and the wolf attacks, seizing the victim with its jaws. Now the rider can keep attacking the victim in the next round, even though the Bite is usually the secondary attack and the rider has the primary one.
Easy way of handling mounted orcs and goblins. Could be used for mounted horsemen also, maybe, with some variations.
I also like the idea that came up some time ago regarding mounted combatants, that allowed them to make a close combat attack as an Opening Volley, representing a charge into combat.
