New loremaster, after marsh bell..

Post by Epic117 » Thu Aug 28, 2014 3:54 pm

Hi guys!

I am a new loremaster and a new DM in general, so my group is almost done with the pre-made adventure that comes with the core rule book, as I am not yet feeling completely ready to create my own and let my players mess around, I would love to know if there are any websites or here in the forums, a place that I can find pre - made adventures like the marsh bells one, any help would be awesome!

Thanks for taking your time,
John

What about Tales from Wilderland? That gives you 7 pre-made adventures; they are good and will pick up just about where the Marsh Bell leaves off.
Rignuth: Barding Wordweaver Wanderer in Southron Loremaster's game.
Amroth Ol'Hir: High Elf Vengeful Kin Slayer in Zedturtle's game.
Jakk O'Malli: Dwarven Orator Treasure-Hunter in Hermes Serpent's game.

Yeah just pickup Tales.

If you aren't able to, then Rich's custom quest (To Journey's End and Eagle's Eyrie) is good and shouldn't prove too challenging to run as a newbie.

Good luck!

There's Blood in the Water, Ghosts and Goblins, Eagles Eyrie. You have Rich 's Eagles one I think but you'll find the others with a quick search on the forums. Those plus Tales should get you well on the way to knowing how to run TOR games.

One thing you'll want to think about picking up is Heart of the Wild and the accompanying campaign, Darkening of Mirkwood, which covers the whole area of Rhovanion and a thirty year campaign set there.

This might be a bit out of topic, but it's been troubling me, some forums say that advancement points are for common skills while exp is for valor, wisdom and weapon skills, yet some others claim that its the other way around.

There was an early cheat sheet that had the two advancement mechanics the wrong way round and presumably people didn't actually read the book and assumed the cheat sheet was correct.

If in doubt Read The Fine Manual (rulebook).

I'll cast my vote in with Tales from Wilderland. Some great adventures in there, and they even form a neat little campaign.
