She's not very good at Encounters; it's worth suggesting how she can use her traits (sort of) to squirm through social interactions.

Also worth pointing out that with only Axe: 2 she'll want to be in Open or Forward stance, and in the woods she can go full Forward.

Since in TotM Walfred might have to be Lookout, maybe something to help Awareness like Keen-Eyed or Quick of Hearing? Or True-Hearted to help at the beginning, but there seems like plenty of Encounter ability to go around, so that'd probably be less useful. Nimble could be tons of fun in the Games section, but Reckless could already help him there...

I think Keen-Eyed might be the easiest for new players to find ways to utilise. Thanks so much for the feedback.

I know keep saying that my latest version is the final version, but I promise that the absolutely definitive version of Theft of the Moon will debut at Gen-Con 2015 (and be made available pretty much exactly at that time, since I'm getting down to the wire in any case).

But I can't resist any longer, and thus I went ahead and made a preview image of one page from the latest updates:

And, yes, that art is from who you think it is. However, it was a private commission and is not an endorsement of the adventure in any way.

More information coming soon.

Personally, I'm looking forward to "The Theft of the Moon, the Special Edition Director's Cut", which is rumored to be coming for GenCon 2016. ;)
Adventure Summaries for my long-running group (currently playing through The Darkening of Mirkwood/Mirkwood Campaign), and the Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).

You never know... coming back to this from the Ways of Magic is making me want to redo the layout entirely. That I need to have these "Press-ready" by Saturday is the only thing holding me back.

Hi Zed,

I am planning to run a demo game of TOR for some friends of mine and I think I will use your scenario, which I like a lot.

I have one question about how you envisioned the final encounter with the thieves. You wrote "Heroes do not get Shadow points (see above) unless the purposely kill the thieves."

Given the situation of the thralls and their families and knowing my friends, this encounter will finish mostly in combat, which means that some thieves will die. What do you meant by purposely kill the thieves?
