My character didn't participate in torch race, but I still thought it was the best event.

Out of curiosity do you have a handle on why that might have been?

Because it wasn't a single roll; allowed for some narrative unfolding.

Thank you for this adventure! I'm going to run it for my online group as they're almost through the Kinstrife... Good job!!

Cool! Come back and let us know how it turns out, and especially any tweaks you made. I'm running it PbP myself now and am learning as I go what is working well and what is not so much.

Is your adventure designed to be run as a short one session adventure? ( I am thinking it would be great to run at a Con)

Yep, that is it's exact purpose in life. Let me know if you ever get the chance to do so, I'm going to try to make the con circuit next year, but recent developments have made that less likely.

I enjoyed all the contests you created (even the ones I didn't participate in), but agree that the number of successses stacking up made the Torch Race especially exciting. Well, that and it sounds absolutely bonkers in the best possible way and I would totally sign up for it in real life. I liked how a variety of skills were used, depending on which contest you entered, and also that even narrating defeat was fun. (Egil's escape from the bull comes to mind, and Dhuoda's face plant during the race).

Alright, as a process of the playtest. I'm rewriting the adventure and expanding it a bit (max of 12 pages, maybe 16 if I include pre-gens). I'm trying to add some more commentary in to help beginning Loremasters and restructing the Trials for a the way that seemed to work best in the playtest.

Here's a look at one of the new pages:

Feedback appreciated, as always.

Also, pre-gens would be great... I know we've got some system wonks who would love to show off a well-optimized starting Wilderland character, right?
