Rule Cheat Sheets

Post by Skyspire » Sat Sep 13, 2014 12:02 pm

I've written up some rule cheat sheets using the new rule book and including all the rules up to and including the Rivendell supplement. If anyone wants a copy or wants to host the files (3 small pdfs) let me know.

You don't use dropbox? Free and so easy making a public link :)

And nice of you to offer them. The ones we have for wfrp have helped us often :-)

In your sheets, under Surprise in the Combat Reference, you say that:
If all combatants are aware of the enemy, no surprise attacks are possible
I don't own the Revised Core, but in the old one it says that :
If at least half the heroes in a company are not
surprised (counting those who have been warned),
then the fight is resolved as if the company was
defending as far as the roll to assign combat
advantages is concerned and holding the initiative.
If on the contrary more than half companions have
failed their rolls and are surprised, the company
will be considered as if attacking to assign combat
advantages and the opponents will fight holding the
initiative.
Is there a change in the Revised Core or am I missing something?

Yes, it is in the Revised Core, in the ambush table on page 167.

Something else that doesn't seem right in my eyes ;)

In the Rules Reference Sheet, you say about Awarding Experience Points:
Awarding Experience Points:
o Average of 1-2 points per session
o At end of gaming session each hero receives 1 Experience point
o If group of heroes made significant progress toward completion of Company objective, each character receives an additional Experience point
In the Clarifications and Amendments document, we can read:
• Players receive 1 Experience point each at the end of
every gaming session they attend.
• If the Loremaster deems that the group has made
substantial progress toward the achievement of their
chosen company objective, each hero is awarded with
1 supplementary Experience point.
• Finally, a number of supplementary Experience points
are awarded by the Loremaster at the end of the
Adventuring phase. Generally, this bonus should not
exceed an approximate ratio of 1 Experience point for
every two game sessions in the Adventuring phase (for
example, a 4-sessions adventure should yield a final
reward of 2 supplementary points).
You seem to mix the criteria for awarding XP at the end of every session, and forget to mention the extra points at the end of the full Adventuring phase.

Hope this helps to improve an awesome work!
