Lone Wolf and Mouse Guard are on my list to check out. Shipwreck, also check out Faery's Tale--good for little kids.

I tried Mouse Guard a while ago and it was ... strange. The ruleset wasn't bad, but it felt needlessly complicated in some parts.

Mouse guard is great, though a bit gamy in some parts (like literally paper - rock - scissors conflict resolution), which might be a bit off for small children. But the art and fiction is amazing.
