That would be awesome. Thanks, Hermes Serpent!

New to the board, so first of all: hello everybody!

I have just preordered the rivendell book and my flgs sent me the bits-and-mortar link to the pdf.

After skimming through, the book looks great!

However, I could not find the updated language box Andrew mentioned earlier in this thread. So I would like to ask on which page the box should be found? Or could it may be possible, that the bits-and-mortar-pdf is not the updatet version?

Indeed, welcome Helmgard! You're unlikely to get an official answer until next week, as everyone is at Dragonmeet right now. But my latest PDF is 'Rivendell_updated_PDF_version.pdf' and has the language box on page 118.

Hope that helps!

Do preorders from Amazon receive the .pdf?

Again, not an official answer, but my understanding is that you need to buy the book at full price (either from C7 direct, i.e. pre-order with them) or at a FLGS that is in the Bits & Mortar program. Buying it somewhere else at full price will likely get you the PDF as well.

But Amazon, with its deep discounts, doesn't qualify, to my knowledge.

The big take-away is, if you can afford it, doing the pre-order through C7 is the best way to get both the PDF as soon as its available and the physical book as soon as its available. I've been using the Rivendell rules since July or so, thanks to the C7 system.

Thank you both, Majestic and zedturtle!

No box on my Rivendell-pdf page 118.

In the meantime I found out, that back in June there was an update to the TfW and TDoM pdfs on drivethru.rpg, but my bits-and-mortar-pdfs of those books don't seem to be updated.

Perhaps there were updates to further books, concerning errata or something?

Despite the "rest-of-the-world"-shipping-cost it would be surely more than appropriate to support C7 by purchasing at the C7-store, but on the other hand it really won't come easy to me to break with my long term habit to support my great flgs.

If occasionaly there would be some time left for an official remark concerning "updates of bits-and-mortar-pdfs", this would be highly appreciated.

No - Amazon is not a member of the Bits and Mortar programme - they can't be, being an online retailer.

I don't believe there is any formal system for offering updated PDFs through Bits and Mortar, but I'll look into it. If there isn't we can suggest it, if there is we'll make use of it.

Right now I don't want to start confusing the Bits and Mortar database by adding new versions of files, so bear with us.

We'll look into though, as mentioned.
