Thank you, this is actually exactly what I was looking for, having heard it somewhere along the way. I haven't yet read the histories so this is really interesting.

I suppose, if I were looking for that hill to die on, it could be argued that Celebrimbor was likely born in Valinor and would still choose to return there after death ;)

Well, you can also call me Melkor, Bauglir, or The Dark Lord if any of those strike your fancy. Just don't call me late to second breakfast!!

You're welcome! Yeah, it might be a stretch, but I guess it's plausible anyway. At least plausible enough to enjoy the game.
I smashed down the light and dared Valinor

I quite enjoyed the game and the lore-bending did not bothered me so much. But oh the ending, by all the holy valars, the ending.

NOPE!!! No going further!!! I still haven't finished the story line of the game, so NO MORE UPDATES ON WHAT HAPPENS PLEASE! :D

I get updates to this forum on my phone so, I might open it up by accident and spoil it for myself...

Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, so I finished the storyline tonight...........................

I am still on the first 50 pages of the Silmarillion, and so I haven't yet come far enough into the Second Age to learn ANYTHING about Celebrimbor other than he was one of the Elves that decided to stay in Middle Earth as opposed to return to the West.

[GAME SPOILER GAME SPOILER GAME SPOILER GAME SPOILER!]

The only thing I have to say is, I much prefer the notion of a benevolent elf smith (Celebrimbor) that is tricked by Sauron, much like how he [Sauron] tricked the Numenoreans into sailing Westward, into forging the rings of power...

The moment I saw Celebrimbor heading up an entire army of Orcs and what can only be assumed to be disillusioned Gondoreans or maybe some Wild Men, I dunno....... Yeah, I kinda tuned out at that point...

Then I saw Celebrimbor jank the one ring right out of Sauron's hand, as opposed to Sauron crafting the ring himself...

This game is awesome, love the open-world style and how gritty it feels... But this story took a dive on me...
