No, the Fatigue tests are ALWAYS rolled with the Travel skill.
The skill related to the assigned role (Awareness for Look-out, etc.) comes only into play if a Hazard targets your role, to avoid said Hazard.

What Elfcrusher says is right, only that I think two points should be clarified:
1) An Eye targets whatever is worse for the group. That means that if any role isn't covered, that will be the first option. But in case every role is covered, the LM will surely choose whoever has the lowest skill in his corresponding role. Or if there's a Weary hero, he might also be the chosen target even if his skill ranks are better than anyone else's.
2) If a role is not covered and is affected by a Hazard, the companions have two options: suffer the efects of the Hazard or anyone can spend a Hope point to temporarily cover that role and face the Hazard.
this is awesome, love your guys' help, I am learning a ton here...

So, I think it is all making a lot more sense to me now...

I just got the Hobbit Tales card game today, and I think I might experiment with that for my journey hazards, but....... as cool as this Hobbit Tales game is with how it interacts with TOR... I like my own creativity too much to let it be dictated to by cards...

You can use both. If some Hazard comes to your mind as you roll, use it. If nothing comes to mind, then draw a card. If your group likes to be active, make the player who's character suffered the Hazard draw a card and make him describe his own Hazard. Might be considered sadistic by some, but hey! "pain is so close to pleasure" as Queen said.

I used Hobbit Tales during the last session to represent a conversation over dinner with an NPC. When, during the adventure, the players asked for shelter to a lonely dwarf, he asked for a tale by each one after dinner. So, I took the Hobbit Tales game, explained the rules in 1 minute and everyone told a tale about his character (or family) inspired by the cards, while the others threw Hazards at him. It was the highlight moment of the adventure.

Well shoot, now I'm sad we have to play over Skype!!! Perhaps I could figure some way for this to work, but, yea! I like that idea a lot!
