Hi!
On page 160 (new Core book) "...which role will face the challange and which Ability will be tested by rolling a Feat Die..."
I am wondering what it means if you roll the Eye-Of-Sauron?
It says: Role not covered (if available)
Does this mean that it triggers a Hazard and the heroes dont get to make a roll to bypass the Hazard?

Hazard Target question
Re: Hazard Target question
I guess the answere is on the next table: Hazards, there are boxes with the Eye-Of-Sauron icon.
Re: Hazard Target question
Btw in the Table Hazard, box 8 and 9 it says Strain and Despair. Is there any info in the Core book on these two effects or do you just "feel" Strained and Dispaired?

"Strain" and "Despair" are just the titles of those hazards. The next column over describes their effects. The "Effect" column was included only for flavor.Khamul wrote:Btw in the Table Hazard, box 8 and 9 it says Strain and Despair. For example, see beckett's thread about the Corruption Hazard: it's not a standard Corruption roll, it's just the title for that particular Hazard.

Re: Hazard Target question
A role not covered means that the Loremaster picks a Hunting text if there is no Huntsman, an Awareness test if there is no Look-Out, etc. Or if all the roles(assignments) are covered, then the LM chooses, usually someone with the lowest score in their assignment.Khamul wrote:Hi!
