Idea: Web Page LM Screen

Post by Dedicemancometh » Thu Oct 23, 2014 3:07 am

 You know, with all the great screen-real-estate-saving widgets available, it would be great to have an LM Screen that is optimized for tablet touch or click access.

You know the screen elements I am referring to, right? Dropdown boxes, accordions, tabs. Surely something elegant, and fat-finger- & small-screen-friendly could be whipped up by an enterprising web savant?

I realize that it might be a licensing issue for C7 to provide an official one since this strays a bit from "print RPG," but the fans can come to the rescue, here, I think.

You mean a computerized rules reference? I copied all the rules I wanted into OneNote. Navigation is easy and can be hyperlinked. OneNote is also free for all platforms.

I had separate sections for Session Notes, Adversaries, and Rules. If I'd had a chance to play more I'd have added an NPC section as well. In Adversaries I created a table with the stats of all the orc types. If the game had continued I'd have added other types as well. Sometimes I'd just copy and paste from the rules PDFs onto a OneNote page.

During sessions I'd keep handwritten notes on my tablet in the Session Notes section.

I have the revised edition PDF open whenever we play over Roll20; the index is a must. Works well though, I'm pretty fast by now.
