You could draw one yourself; the techniques are easy to learn and it actually doesn't take much time :)

I drew my own map and since we play in Swedish the names are translated. The center of mirkwood is left empty since it's "terra incognita".

Thank you both! Do you think people would be interested in a tutorial?

Me too. I have my B&W technique but I like your washes and learning how others do things is always good.

I would be too! When I was little is made a map of Wildcat Island from Swallows and Amazons, but my artistic skills have stagnated since then; the other day a polar bear I drew was mistaken for a pig.

Zekrish

As someone who has no artistic ability whatsoever and has great problems with maps, I think I speak for the majority of this forum in saying that a tutorial would be VERY welcome - perhaps then I could share your views that doing a map like the sample is 'easy'!

I have a map of NW middle-earth (done by Valarian) and a hex map of Harad that I did on Photoshop, but no idea how to merge the two maps properly -big frustration.

Here you go: http://imgur.com/a/FcKEC Most of the names can be seen there. The Swedish names were taken from the old translation by Åke Ohlsmark and the names i couldn't find where written i Elvish or translated into their closest Swedish equivalent:
Woodmenhall= Skogssala
Eastern Bight= Öst bukten
etc.

Just send a private message if you want the full translation notes!
