The Gladden Fields and The Dwimmerhorn

Post by Heilemann » Sat Nov 15, 2014 10:54 pm

I'm putting a post up with a bit more info, but I figured I share this here first. My players have just entered the Gladden Fields, and I wanted a background for the first battle in the marshes on Roll20, so I comped The Dwimmerhorn into this nice painting by Ivan Shishin, and threw in some smoke and flocks of birds to top it off.

Awesome!

Here's my version (with rough statues of stone added, inspired by the Silent Watchers of Mordor), and the verse that goes with it...

Image

Where the waters never run but only stand,
Find the place where the stone watchers are blind.
Up the black rock the path doth lead, hand by hand
until the opening to evil ways you will find.
Jacob Rodgers, occasional nitwit.

This space intentionally blank.

Those are both excellent. Being very visual, I always find it helpful to have images that conjure up mood and atmosphere. That's one of the excellent features of the TOR products, that really helps me immerse in Middle-earth! 8-)
Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).
