I think all this talk of the Shadow being a bad thing, or some kind of punishment for being "evil" (whatever that means.../eyeroll) is really overblown. Maybe those meddling Wizards and Elven Lords have their own agenda in all this. Ever think of that?

Re: Shadow Points
Like what kind of scenarios, exactly do you mean, Elf? Can you give me an recent examples that come to mind?

Rignuth: Barding Wordweaver Wanderer in Southron Loremaster's game.
Amroth Ol'Hir: High Elf Vengeful Kin Slayer in Zedturtle's game.
Jakk O'Malli: Dwarven Orator Treasure-Hunter in Hermes Serpent's game.

Sometimes even more than a point or two is worth it. One of my PCs just took The Stiff Neck of Dwarves, and he's currently at 5 Shadow!Elfcrusher wrote:Sometimes a point here or there is worth it.

Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).

Oh, wait...I thought you were making a euphemism. Sorry, not the same situation at all.

I agree Elf. Sometimes you need to be good . Sometimes you need to be awesome. And if you get a Shadow Point or two doing it, well sometimes it's worth it.
Did Samwise get a Shadow Point (or more) for throwing an apple at Bill Ferny's face? Probably. While Sam thought it was a "waste of a good apple," I say it was totally worth it.

Re: Shadow Points
Good point! If Feanor had been a nancy about a shadow point here or there we wouldn't have...hmm...maybe this isn't such a good example.
