Let me add a hearty 'Amen' to this. While I've never had any trouble making up my own stuff, the quality that C7 has used on their products is second to none. Even if you only used these books for their illustrations and/or locales, or simply used them for their great Hazard ideas, they'd be worth the cost!Elfcrusher wrote:But it's not the maps or the monster stats that make HotW, TfW, and DoM amazing. It's the interwoven stories and personalities and plots that bring the region to life. Certainly a LMs don't need those supplements to play TOR, but lots of people seem very happy about them anyway.

I can recommend the MERP stuff. I really don't like the game system and I think they did a lot of crap (e.g. give attribute levels and such to the Valar) but they have a lot of nice cavern systems with ready to go adventures. There is this one with the riddle caves (I forgot how it is called). It has great maps and you can place it everywhere you like, just exchange the monster stats from MERP with the monster stats from TOR and your group can have an awesome adventure!

Yes, Andrew you are teasing us
. Seriously though, I always look forward to your ToR announcements, and I'll buy every supplement because you all do an incredible job!
That said, however, I'll add my two pence and hope you continue to expand on both sides of the Mountains.
Well, no one ever said you'd hear easy wish lists from all of us
, so I'm just throwing it out there and hoping that you're all working on more Middle-earth goodness for both Eriador and Rhovanion.
