Yeah, it's cool. I'm pretty easy-going for a guy who has dominion of Arda. Tell you what, I'll hang you from a mountain by a chain attached to your wrist for a few decades and we'll call it even, mkay?
Nah, MReader. Dress yourself like a Noldo-pirate and attack him when in his BMW.
He will call the cops, scared to the bone.

Someone already did it and it worked.

Wow...

I'm not even going to ask how you know that, Falenthal...

Also, I'm glad that I found this wonderful forum full of Tolkien fans as interested in The One Ring as I am. I particularly appreciated how many of us know about the Silmarillion, and the Maedhros reference was awesome... I guess that I should probably unveil my top-secret TOR fan project sometime in the near future, but that's material for a separate post...

(Just so you know, Cubicle 7, it's nothing you should worry about... In fact, it will probably be the greatest fan supplement to the official products that I have seen so far, once I get it finished enough for review.)

EDIT 1: Wow, I even forgot to mention the site I regularly use for Tolkien Linguistics / Naming (which also has an interesting forum). Take a look at http://realelvish.proboards.com/, Elfcrusher... You will definitely find what you need there. I love that Forum, but it seems to be very inactive for much of the time, as very few people really get into Tolkien Linguistics, and those who do don't post much (myself included). They also have a top-notch Sindarin Class every year or so.

EDIT 2: Clarified what the top-secret fan project was, and edited my previous edit.

Wow. I think you have some stiff competition (and no, I'm not talking about my stuff). But I will be very excited to see this!

Since New Entish is basically a bunch of Quenya words all meaning the same put together, this is my New Entish version of Elfcrusher:

The good news is that EC has a new user name, the bad news is that, due to a malformed SQL truncation, the entire forum is down.

Glorelendil - one with a crush on the Golden Elf

Ok, so it's more like 'friend or lover' apparently, and there's probably more wrong besides - but I welcome better sounding corrections from the proper Quenya and Sindarin scholars!

I just thought this option, and variations on it, ought to be on the table besides the Orcish and Black Speech.. :-)

We have a winner!

I have to admit I wasn't really thinking of having a crush when I originally made up the name Elfcrusher* but this entry both made me laugh and is thematically mellifluent.

That said, I'm not sure I'm actually going to create a new account just to change names...but for months I've been wondering what a more suitable username might have been.

StuartJ, send me your details and I'll get the dice ordered.

*If you must know, Elfcrusher was my first World of Warcraft toon, an Orc warrior, back in 2005. It's been my usual gamer tag ever since.
