Running intro adventure

Post by Arthadan » Mon Nov 24, 2014 11:15 pm

Hi all,

I'm running a demo game in my local store the 6th of Dicember. So far I'm leaning towards the Marsh Bell but I'd like something brand new, to be sure nobody will know the plot beforehand.

I'll use the pregenerated characters with minor adjustments in their backgrounds stories to link them together (and Trotter will be replaced with a Hobbit of the Anduin Vales, as the Shire is too far away).

Suggestions please (in Spanish, English or French)?

"Words of the Wise" is great for this.
Also, fan-made, "Blood in the Waters" by Eclipse or the "The Theft of the Moon" by zedturtle are perfect to introduce new players.

Both "The Marsh-Bell" and "Word of the Wise" (if you have it) are both excellent introductory adventures. "Don't Leave the Path" is also good, though my PCs (not even brand new) nearly all died facing the final adversary. Though I haven't played through "The Theft of the Moon", it seems the best one for a new GM (with a real focus on explaining things), and would also serve as a great introductory session.
Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).

Well shucks guys, thanks for the kind words.

Arthadan, the current (non-revised) version is here.

The active development thread is here. I'd love to know what you think, or any feedback (positive or, especially, negative) that you have!

Thanks!

I'll take a look to all the three and give it a thought.

Thanks for the link Zedturtle!
